Chickasaw and Hell of the South Races

That was the 2nd worst MTB race I have ever done. (Yes, I did have one that was even worse!) I had mud caked in places where you don't want to know.

But first, Hell of the South. Looks like Schupp dog lowered the hammer with a win in the Elite Masters group! That is awesome! Mike Riley, Nate Lelek, Doug Hardin, Seam Samber, and Josh Cook were also there representing Team BC. Way to go guys!

For the Chickasaw Mudfest, Craig killed it with a 2nd place in the Pro category. Smokin'. Loved the rear fender! Got Milk?
Michael Edens had a nice 3rd in the Cat 1 30-39.
Eric Bateman also took 3rd in Cat 2 19-29 as well as Kevin Ray holding onto 3rd in the Cat 2 30-39 with Mark Chubb placing 4th.
James Buckingham thew up a 1st in the Cat 2 40-49. Awesome James!
And most respectably, Kara Lewis got 3rd and Marsha Williams 4th in the Women Cat 2! Sweeeeeeet! Unbelievable job ladies!

Hopefully I did not leave anyone out.

A special thanks to David Ansel and Travis West for all their support!

Enjoy the Spring weather this week!

This Weekend 3/23 and 3/24

Big racing weekend coming up!

Saturday - Hell of the South road race in Berlin, TN. Here is the link http://hellofthesouth.wordpress.com/
I hear the the Cat 5 race is already full, so unless you can get in another category you may have to sit this one out. But you can always show up for support!

Sunday - Chickasaw MTB Race in Columbia, TN http://www.columbiacyclingclub.com/mtbflier2013.htm
This is always a fun race and very well done. Usually lots of good prizes!

We should have a good turn out for these since they are close to home! Lets do this!

Tuesday Evening Sprints at Madison Creek

Unlike the weather yesterday, today is looking pretty good for some circuit race style sprint action!

We had a good group of riders last week (7 or 8 I think) for the 1st session. I hope everyone can come out again!

So meet at the Madison Creek Elementary school at around 5:15pm. Here is the Google map link http://goo.gl/maps/lj1Uo. North of Goodlettsville off of Long Hollow Pike, turn on Madison Creek rd. School is on the right.

If you get there later, just turn right out of the parking lot and go down to the 3-way intersection. You can wait there for us to pass or turn right and meet us on the route.

And as I mentioned before, you advanced riders can try in on the MTB! Craig about blew his tires up last week!

Might want to throw a blinking light on the back of the bike too.

This Weekend 3/9 and 3/10

OK guys and gals. This Sunday is the 1st official TBRA MTB race at Booker T Washington State Park in Chattanooga. The word is that it will be run backwards this year. Here is a link to the website for all the details. http://sorbachattanooga.org/wordpress/?p=3171

Don't forget, this is Eastern time AND the time springs forward Sunday morning. So you will loose 2 hours of sleep!

Slight change of events!!! There is a BC H'ville shop ride starting at 8:00 am Saturday. This is replacing the Trace Bikes ride mentioned previously.

Also on Sunday is a Trail Work Day (if you are not racing Sunday). This is behind the Sam's Club in the Streets of Indian Lake area from 2 to 4:30pm. This will be the future home of a pump track / trail running course / short track events and 5K trail night run @ www.beraceseries.com. Please bring rakes, shovels, loppers and other trail clearingin tools.
